Eri silk counter near Raimona gives handloom workers a new market window
A sales-cum-display counter near Raimona National Park is aimed at giving BTR's Eri silk and handloom workers better visibility.
A new sales-cum-display counter near Raimona National Park has opened a fresh market window for Eri silk and handloom workers linked to the Bodoland Sericulture Mission.
The initiative supports artisans by placing local products closer to visitors, tourism activity and community-based livelihood opportunities around Kokrajhar.
For BTR's cultural economy, the counter is more than a shopfront. It connects weaving, local identity and eco-tourism, and can help visitors understand the skill behind traditional silk work.
