Kokrajhar and the wider Bodoland Territorial Region are set to remain in focus after a major package of road and bridge works was announced for the BTC area.
Official information on the Assam visit said six road infrastructure projects in the Bodoland Territorial Council area would include four flyovers and two bridges, with an estimated investment of around Rs 1,100 crore.
The works are expected to support daily travel, market access and links between rural roads and larger highways. For people in Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri, the key question will be how quickly the projects move from announcement to visible construction.
