Kokrajhar wetland tourism project adds another path for local livelihoods
A sanctioned Kokrajhar wetland experience under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 points to tourism-led opportunities for guides, transporters and small businesses.
Kokrajhar's wetland tourism plan has added another development track for local livelihoods, with the destination listed under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 programme.
The sanctioned Kokrajhar Wetland Experience is designed to strengthen visitor infrastructure and create a better tourism product around the district's natural landscape.
If implemented with local participation, the project can support guides, homestays, transporters, food vendors and youth groups while keeping conservation at the centre of tourism growth.
